Cleaning up my old iMac before passing it on to friends, I cleared out the contacts - forgetting wifi was on. So I have lost my contacts on my new Mac, iPad and iPhone! (Moral: never do dramatic things when tired.)

Restore From Time Machine Backup

I imagine I should be able to restore the contacts from my morning backup on time machine, but questions:

1. How? (I have at least realised that I need to turn off wifi before doing it!)

2. What file contains the contacts database?

3. Where is it? If it is in ~/Library I have learnt from this discussion group how to make this visible on my Mac, but not on my time machine.

Can somebody help. I don't think I can face going to bed knowing I have lost all my contacts!
